<h3><strong>Pollution Abatement of River Mula-Mutha (PARMM) at Pune</strong></h3>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Under the National River Conservation Plan</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Pune Municipal Corporation</strong></p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">The project of Pollution Abatement of River Mula Mutha at Pune (Old Limit) was sanctioned under the National River Conservation Plan of the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, Government of India on 14/01/2016. </li>
<li dir="ltr">For this project Minutes of Discussion (MOD) between Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), National River Conservation Directorate (NRCD) and Pune Municipal Corporation was signed on 23rd February 2015. The project cost is Rs. 990.26 Cr. </li>
<li dir="ltr">JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) has approved the loan for this project through the Central Government. The Government of India has sanctioned a grant of Rs 841.72 Cr. (85%) and the share of Pune Municipal Corporation is Rs. 148.54 Cr. (15%).  </li>
<li dir="ltr">It was decided to club all the STP and sewerage packages on the 'One City One Operator' concept. The re-packaging proposal submitted by Pune Municipal Corporation in August 2020 was approved by JICA in September 2020.</li>
<li dir="ltr">The final approval of the tender process by JICA was given on 21/02/2022. The tender process for Package ‘A’ was carried out by Pune Municipal Corporation and the work was awarded to "Enviro Control and Toshiba Water Solutions JV" dated 03/03/2022. </li>
<li dir="ltr">Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi inaugurated the project on 06/03/2022.</li>
<li dir="ltr">Out of a total of 11 Sewage Treatment Plants, Work of 10 Sewage Treatment Plants are in progress and the development of main sewer lines is in progress.</li>
<li dir="ltr">Correspondence is in progress with Mahatma Phule Agricultural University, Rahuri and Forest Department, Govt. of Maharashtra for taking possession of the necessary land for construction of 10 MLD Botanical Garden Sewage Treatment Plant.</li>
</ul>
