Women’s Resource Center (Sakshama Kaksha)
At each regional office level, Women’s Resource Centers (Sakshama Kaksha) have been set up by the Pune Municipal Corporation, through the Department of Social Development, to help resolve family disputes and tensions. Through these Family Counseling and Guidance Centers, a mediator role is taken to resolve family conflicts and misunderstandings through mutual dialogue. Free counseling and legal guidance are provided to women in need. Additionally, counseling and guidance are also offered for differently-abled individuals, senior citizens, and adolescent boys and girls.
At 15 ward office levels, through Women’s Resource Centers, the Pune Municipal Corporation provides information about various welfare schemes of the central and state governments.
