Birth Certificate

<ul>
<li>
For birth certificates before March 2019 search using the certificate number or mother's name option.
</li>
<li>
When retrieving the birth certificate, remember that all entries are in Marathi, and will require you to enter the mother's name in Marathi as per the given process.
</li>
<li>
All records registered prior to March 2019 are available online.
</li>
<li>
All birth and death registrations after March 2019 are done in the CRS (Civil Registration System) within the 15 regional offices of Pune Municipal Corporation.
</li>
<li>
These certificates are available at the Citizen Facilitation Centers (CFC) of these regional offices by charging a pre-decided fee.
</li>
<li>
It is mandatory to register a birth within 21 days of birth with the concerned registrar.
</li>
<li>
Late registrations, whether from 21 to 30 days or 30 days to 1 year from the date of birth are subject to a penalty fee.
</li>
<li>
If a birth is not registered within 1 year from its date, it can still be registered by paying the stipulated fee after verifying the registration's accuracy and acquiring an order passed by a First Class Magistrate.
</li>
<li>
All the birth and death registrations of the 23 villages newly included in the Pune Municipal Corporation have been taken over by the Head Office, Kasba Peth.
</li>
<li>
The birth records from before June 30, 2021, have been digitized and stored in the old computer system developed by the Pune Municipal Corporation.
</li>
<li>
The registration of the birth and death records in the said villages from July 01, 2021, is being done at the concerned regional office level using the CRS civil registration system developed by the central government.
