<li>Management and maintenance of sewer lines within the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation.</li>
<li>Cleaning of monsoon stormwater drains within the Pune Municipal Corporation limits. However, laying stormwater drains and constructing culverts (bridges) over drains is done by the Road Department.</li>
<li>Cleaning of natural watercourses (nallahs) within the Pune Municipal Corporation limits.</li>

<p>The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is committed to providing efficient and safe sanitation services to its citizens. Below are key details of Pune’s drainage infrastructure:</p>

<li>Percentage of households connected to the sewer system: 100%</li>
<li>Percentage of households with on-site sanitation systems: 0%</li>
<li>GIS mapping has been done for all existing sewer lines in Pune city.</li>

<p>Equipment & Safety Measures</p><p>Before the launch of the Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge in 2020, the following equipment and safety measures were in place:</p>
