The main function of the Chief Engineer (Projects) department of Pune Municipal Corporation is to develop the city’s infrastructure. The department’s work includes traffic management, bridges, flyovers, pedestrian paths, overbridges, subway projects, Pune Metro, BSY projects and creation projects under JNNURM, as well as riverfront development.
In the administrative structure of Pune Municipal Corporation, the Chief Engineer (Projects) is responsible for the development of infrastructure.
