The responsibility of supplying water to Pune city lies with the Water Supply Department. There are a total of 1,155 employees working in this department, including engineers and Class 4 staff. The department includes workers such as water carriers, security guards, plumbers, masons, pump operators, wiremen, inspectors, and fitters, along with 70 civil engineers, Chemist, Assistant Chemist and 30 electrical engineers.
