<strong>Mahila Aarogya Samiti :-</strong>
</p>
<p>
224 Mahila Aarogya Samiti are approved under Pune Municipal Corporation and 1 Mahila Aarogy Samiti is to be established for 50 to 100 households and a Mahila Aarogya Samiti has minimum 8 and maximum 10 members. Mahila Aarogya Samiti works to support ANMs in creating awareness and dissemination of community level health initiatives, celebrating Urban Health Nutrition Day and organizing outreach sessions.

<strong>Janani Suraksha Yojana :-</strong>
</p>
<p>
Janani Suraksha Yojana has been implemented in the state since 2005-06. This scheme is implemented in 19 UCHCs under the jurisdiction of Pune Municipal Corporation. If a pregnant mother belonging to below poverty line, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe who is a resident of an urban area gives birth in an urban area, in a government or a private health institution recognized for Janani Suraksha Yojana, the beneficiary under Janani Suraksha Yojana will be paid a benefit of Rs.600/- to the said mother. Also, if an expectant mother needs to undergo an urgent caesarean surgery in a private health institution recognized by the government for Janani Suraksha Yojana during delivery, a maximum benefit of Rs.1500/- will be payable to such an expectant mother through PFMS. Also, Asha is given an honorarium of Rs.200/-

<p>
<strong>Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana Details</strong>
</p>
<p>
As per the Mission Shakti guidelines of the Central Government, the beneficiary under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana will be given the following benefits:
</p>
<ul>
<li>
First Installment – Rs.3000 – within 6 months from the last date of menstruation. Registration of pregnancies and at least one antenatal check-up is required in a health institution recognized by the state government.
</li>
<li>
Second Installment – Rs.2000 – Birth Registration Certificate. The child needs to have BCG, OPV, DPT, IVP and Hepatitis-B dose or vaccination (complete the primary vaccination cycle).
</li>
<li>
If the second child is a girl, the benefit of Rs.6,000/- for the second child will be given in one phase after the birth of the child.
</li>
<li>
If a beneficiary has more than one child (twins/triplets/quadruplets) in her second pregnancy and one or more girls, she will get benefit for the second girl as per PMMVY 2.0 rules.
</li>
<li>
It is mandatory to register with Asha, Anganwadi worker, health worker or any government health institution during pregnancy to avail the said scheme.
</li>
<li>
Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Aadhaar will be deposited in the attached bank account or post office account through DBT to eligible beneficiary women.
</li>
<li>
Aadhaar Card / Enrollment ID (Enrollment Number in MCTS/RCH Portal) is mandatory to avail this scheme.
</li>
<li>
Documents required to avail the benefits of the scheme while registering the beneficiary himself or through the health institution (It is mandatory to attach a copy of proof of any one of the following identity cards.)
<ul>
<li>
Women whose net household income is less than Rs.8 lakhs per annum.
</li>
<li>
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe women.
</li>
<li>
Women beneficiaries under Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) under Ayushman Bharat.

Women e-Labour Card holders.
</li>

<strong>Prime Minister's Safe Motherhood Mission</strong>
</p>
<p>
Under the Pradhan Mantri Safer Motherhood Mission, pregnant women in the second and third trimesters are given a special free health check-up on 9 th of every month. In this mission, free blood test, urine test, blood pressure test, hemoglobin test and sonography test are done for the said pregnant women.
</p>
<p>
Presently, the above 5 check-ups are also done along with the health care of pregnant women in Pune city through 19 UCHCs (maternity centers) and 77 UPHCs (dispensaries) of Pune Municipal Corporation.
