Workshops (mock drills) related to fire safety are organized by government/non-government organizations, schools, colleges, shopping malls, five-star hotels, and industrial areas. During these mock drills, participants are trained and guided on how to use fire-fighting equipment and what precautions to take in case of an emergency.
During the mock drill, the following training is provided:
- Measures to be taken after a fire breaks out.
- Preventive measures while the fire extinguishing process is ongoing.
- Evacuation from a burning building.
- Assisting victims.
- Using soil, mud, water, and wet cloths to control the fire.
- Participants are trained on how to protect themselves from fire, contact the nearest hospital for medical treatment, and properly use fire-fighting equipment.
- The public generally responds positively to these workshops. After the mock drill, any doubts or questions from citizens are addressed.
