Introduction: Enhancing Connectivity at Mukundrao Ambedkar Chowk

The Pune Municipal Corporation is undertaking the construction of a flyover and grade separator at Mukundrao Ambedkar Chowk (Vishrantwadi Junction). This project aims to reduce traffic congestion and provide smoother connectivity for vehicles and pedestrians, significantly benefiting the residents and commuters in the area.

Project Overview

• Location: Mukundrao Ambedkar Chowk (Vishrantwadi Junction).
• Contractor: M/s S.M.C. Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd.
• Contractor's work order number: Order No. 4660, dated 08/03/2024.
• Consultant: M/s Creation Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Pune.
• Project Cost: 109,15,92,474/- (Including GST, Royalty, Testing Charges, Labour Cess & Insurance) Construction of Rail Over Bridge on Pune-Miraj Railway Line at Ghorpadi (ROB-I, Gate No. 586) and Construction of Flyover/Grade Separator in Mukundrao Ambedkar Junction, Vishrantwadi (Combined Amount).
• Duration: 24 months (including monsoon period) – Completion by March 2026.

Flyover:

• Total Length of flyover ( with Approach ): 630.12 R. m.
• Length of RCC Structure: 291 R. m.
• Width Of Flyover: 7 m.
• Length of Approach Road (Solid Ramp) : Alandi Side – 197.12 m, Lohgaon Side - 142 m.
• Width Of Approach Road : 7 m.

Grade Separator:

• Total Length of Grade Separator: 595 R.m.
• Length of RCC Structure: 595 R. m.
• Width Of Grade Separator: 7 meters.
• Length of Approach Road (Solid Ramp) : Alandi Side – 185 m. , Lohgaon Side – 150 m. , Yerwada Side – 140 m.

Approach Roads:

• Alandi Side: 197 meters (flyover), 185 meters (grade separator).
• Lohegaon Side: 142 meters (flyover), 150 meters (grade separator).
• Yerwada Side: 140 meters (grade separator)
